In 2003, when worked for Ricoh in San Jose as a firmware engineer of Secure FAX, he noticed that E-paper technology was the most appropriate solution both to reprint and to reduce consumption of large amounts of paper. Every time he told technology people about E-paper in that time, most people said that E-paper technology was too early in a decade to launch into a market. When he came back to Japan and engaged in Digital TV development, he recognized that the thinner LCD display would become, the more flexible display like E-paper could be a key element to incorporate TV or PC display into E-paper device. Then, founded High Technology Explore in December 2009 for solution business of E-paper.
Previously, from January 2007 to July 2009, worked for Trident Microelectronics as field application engineering manager and engaged in DTV software development. Prior to joining Trident, he held software engineering positions in a variety of companies with international development environment in Japan from 2003 to 2006. Engaged in DTV development at ATI, assembler for medical imaging LSI at Terarecon, and on-site coordination at Tata Infotech.
From 1995 to 2003, moved to US, returned to academics for imaging processing, and held software engineering positions in several companies. Engaged in control software development of washing machine at Atcor, software customization of DVD player panel at ESS Technology, Windows printer driver development at Kyocera Technology Development, Secure FAX firmware development at Ricoh.
From 1991 to 1995, joined NEC and engaged in application engineering and Asia operation for microprocessor in semiconductor group.
He holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Keio University in Japan and a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in US.
